چکیده
Groundwater seems to be the most significant natural source of potable water for millions individuals. Fluoride pollution in groundwater is a big problem Tamil Nadu’s Dharmapuri area. According survey done school area, dental and skeletal fluoroses afflict almost 75% kids. There no proven or recommended cost-effective strategy lowering fluoride levels home. This study proposes efficient treatment approaches levels. In this experiment, fluorides are eliminated suitable extent utilizing adsorbents. Neem stem charcoal (activated carbon), neem leaves powder, dry coconut husk, shell rice husk powder The adsorbents were utilized at different concentrations until best concentration was found. ideal removes bulk from delivers adequate treatment. People could adopt procedure because just few components enough. As per Bureau Indian Standards, should not exceed 1.5 ppm, it lesser than 1 ppm; keeping mind, which has higher efficiency removing can used extensive environments, but selected place, reduces even below relays standard level. result, adopting these procedures helps prevent fluoroses, common among young people.

Removal Of Fluoride From Water And Waste Water By Using Low Cost Adsorbents
India is among 23 nations where in a large population suffers from dental and skeletal flourosis due to high fluoride concentration in ground water. The prominent states, which are severely affected, are Andhrapradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Fluoride beyond desirable amounts (0.6 to 1.5 mg/l) in ground water is a major problem in many parts of the world. Taking the se...
متن کاملRemoval of fluoride from drinking water by adsorption onto Activated Alumina and activated carbon
The ability of activated alumina and activated carbon to remove Fluoride from aqueous solution has been investigated. The studies were carried out as functions of contact time, concentration and pH. The data indicate that activated alumina surface sites are heterogeneous in nature and that fits into a heterogeneous site binding model. The optimum pH for complete removal of Fluoride from aqueous...
متن کاملFluoride removal from water using crushed limestone
An examination of defluoridation by industrial grade limestone indicated that a combination of precipitation and adsorption of fluoride can be more effective for defluoridation of water. Pre-acidified fluoride water using two edible acids, viz., acetic acid (AA) and citric acid (CA) have been used for treatment by crushed limestone of diameter 3-4 mm to precipitate fluoride as CaF2 in addition ...
متن کاملArsenic removal from water/wastewater using adsorbents--A critical review.
Arsenic's history in science, medicine and technology has been overshadowed by its notoriety as a poison in homicides. Arsenic is viewed as being synonymous with toxicity. Dangerous arsenic concentrations in natural waters is now a worldwide problem and often referred to as a 20th-21st century calamity. High arsenic concentrations have been reported recently from the USA, China, Chile, Banglade...
متن کاملA Comparative Study for the Removal of Methylene Blue Dye from Aqueous Solution by Novel Activated Carbon Based Adsorbents
This study was conducted to assess the ability of the studied adsorbent, i.e. raw oak fruit hulls and the activated carbon prepared from oak fruit hull for removing the Methylene blue (MB) from aqueous solution. This study was conducted under various effective parameters, e.g., contact time, pH, MB concentration, adsorbent concentration. The optimum amount of each parameter was determined a...
